And the winner is…
It was a tough call but a panel of experts has selected the winner of the Small Shop Showdown at Kentucky Oaks Mall. The victorious new business owner is Lisa Dunn of Paducah. Her business, Lisa’s Bridal, will be located in a 7,425 square foot space next to rue21. As the winner of this competition, she will enjoy FREE RENT inside Kentucky Oaks Mall for 26 weeks (6 months). This new business will be able to take advantage of a prime location with lots of customer traffic from October 1, 2019 – March 30, 2020.
In addition to the rent-free store space, the winner will receive a package of promotional assistance to help get the business off the ground, including posters, digital signage and advertising on social media.
Dunn has 18 years of experience in formalwear, with an existing business that she will now be able to expand by relocating to Kentucky Oaks Mall. The store offers a unique take on ladies formalwear. It sells wedding gown, dresses for bridesmaids, flower girls, mother-of the bride as well as homecoming and prom dresses. While the styles are contemporary and the selection is wide, dresses are priced 50% - 60% below their typical retail price. Brides-to-be will be able to find dresses ranging from $50 to $1,500.
Kentucky Oaks Mall is located on Interstate 24, Exits 3 and 4, in Paducah, Kentucky.
